METRIO PRIVACY
Privacy, explained without hiding behind legal fog.
METRIO is designed around local-first use. This policy explains what stays on your device, what may leave it when you choose to contact support, how Apple handles purchases, and what the METRIO website itself processes.
1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy covers the METRIO iOS application and the official METRIO website at metrioapp.com. METRIO is provided by individual developer Mesut Özdemir, professionally known as Miraç Özdemir, based in Kocaeli, Türkiye.
METRIO is a local-first application. The current product does not require a mandatory METRIO account for normal use and does not maintain a developer-hosted user profile as part of the ordinary app experience.
2. Information stored by the app
Core app information is stored locally on your device. Depending on the features you use, this can include app language and preferences, metronome settings, presets, practice routines, Practice History / Analytics records, setlists, song and section names, BPM values, time signatures and other content you create inside METRIO.
Practice History / Analytics refers to your own practice information inside the product. It is not an advertising profile and is not the same thing as third-party website or marketing analytics.
During normal use, this local information is not automatically uploaded to a METRIO-owned application server.
3. Subscriptions and purchases
METRIO Pro, Stage and Stage Pro subscriptions are offered through the Apple App Store using Apple purchase infrastructure such as StoreKit. Apple processes payment-card and billing information. METRIO does not receive your full card number or bank-account details.
To provide subscription features, the app may receive or request App Store information needed for the purchase experience, such as product identifiers, localized prices, offer eligibility and subscription or entitlement status. Apple processes its own data under Apple's privacy practices.
4. Local diagnostics and diagnostic reports
METRIO maintains a local Flight Recorder / diagnostic log to help investigate technical and live-performance issues. The local diagnostic ring stores up to the most recent 2,000 events.
Diagnostic records may include technical information such as timestamps, app version and build number, general device model, iOS version, audio-output information, sample rate, output latency, metronome or performance events and error information. Depending on the event, a report may also contain user-entered song or section names together with BPM or time-signature information.
These local records are not sent to METRIO automatically. A diagnostic report leaves the device only when you choose the app's diagnostic-report sharing action and select a destination through the iOS share interface.
5. Advertising, tracking and analytics
The current METRIO production design does not include advertising SDKs or cross-app / cross-site tracking SDKs. METRIO does not sell your personal data for advertising and does not use your app activity to follow you across other companies' apps or websites.
Apple may independently process App Store, purchase, analytics or diagnostic information under Apple's own settings and privacy practices. That processing is controlled by Apple rather than by METRIO.
6. Website privacy
The current METRIO website code does not include advertising trackers, third-party marketing analytics scripts or analytics/advertising cookies. The site is intended to provide product information, support information and public legal pages.
Like most websites, the hosting and network infrastructure used to deliver metrioapp.com may process basic technical request information—such as IP address, browser or device information, requested path, date/time and security-related logs—as necessary to deliver, protect and operate the site. Those logs are handled by the relevant infrastructure provider under its own terms and retention practices.
The current website does not use a public contact form. Support is handled by email.
7. Support emails and voluntary submissions
If you email support@metrioapp.com, METRIO receives the information you choose to send, which may include your email address, message content, screenshots, device / iOS details or a diagnostic report. METRIO's support mailbox is operated using Google Workspace, so Google may process email data as part of providing that service.
Please do not include passwords, full payment-card details or other information that is not necessary to investigate your request.
9. Retention and deletion
App preferences, presets, routines, practice history, setlists, song / section information and diagnostic records are stored locally. Where the app provides delete or clear controls, you can use them directly. Deleting METRIO from your device also removes local app data according to iOS behavior, subject to any separate device backup you control.
Support emails and materials voluntarily sent to METRIO are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to investigate, respond to and maintain an appropriate record of the support request, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may request deletion of support material by contacting us.
10. Children's privacy
METRIO is not a social network and normal app use does not require a mandatory METRIO account. METRIO is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-hosted profile. If a parent or legal guardian believes that a child has voluntarily included personal information in a support message or diagnostic submission, they may contact us to request deletion where applicable.
11. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or other controls over personal data. This may include rights under Türkiye's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and, where applicable, the GDPR or other privacy laws.
Because much of METRIO's app data remains on your device, many practical controls are exercised directly through the app and your device. For information you voluntarily send to METRIO, contact us using the address below.
12. Security
METRIO uses a local-first design to reduce unnecessary transmission of app-use data. No method of storage, email transmission or internet delivery can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information in support communications.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when METRIO's features, service providers, website infrastructure or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and policy version on this page.
